ASDLF plans district-wise celebration of Labour Day


GANGTOK, 29 April: The All Sikkim Democratic Labour Front, the labour wing of the ruling party, has decided to celebrate Labour Day in a grand manner in all four districts on 01 May.
The celebration for East district will be held at two venues- the SDF Bhawan and Mining Ground, Rangpo.
SDF Bhawan will host participants from Gangtok, Arithang, Tadong, Upper Burtuk, Shyari and some areas of Rumtek-Martam constituencies, while people from the rest of Rumtek-Martam, Rhenock, Namcheybong, Chujachen and West Pandem will attend the celebrations at Mining Ground.
SDF vice-president, DT Lepcha, will be the chief guest at SDF Bhawan, while SDF vice-president, Somnath Poudyal will chair as the chief guest at Mining Ground.
Likewise, the celebration for all three constituencies in north district will be held at Mangan Public Ground, which will have the Power Minister, Sonam Gyatso Lepcha, as the chief guest, and celebration for constituencies in west district will be held at Geyzing Community Hall, which will has the Road and Bridges Minister, RB Subba, as the chief guest.
The SDF President who is also the ASDLF president, Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling, will chair the celebrations of south district at Lamitar in Temi-Tarku as the chief guest.
