Raj Bhawan saves Rs. 52.16 lakh through austerity measures


GANGTOK, 08 April [IPR]: As per a letter received from Governor’s Secretariat, during the last financial year, 2010-11, the Governor’s Secretariat has made consistent efforts to enforce austerity measures. This has resulted in saving of Rs. 19.89 lakh from Governor’s Emoluments and Allowances Priviledge Rules and Rs. 32.27 lakh from other miscellaneous heads of accounts under demand number ‘Governor’ (Charged), together totalling Rs. 52.16 lakhs. This amount has been surrendered as savings to the Finance, Revenue and Expenditure Department.
