SEA supports Sikkim Bandh

GANGTOK: The Sikkim Entrepreneurs Association [SEA] has extended full support to the Sikkim Bandh called by the Sikkim Democratic Front for 04 and 05 April.
The Association has also appealed to entrepreneurs across the state to support the call and ensure successful conduction of a ‘peaceful bandh’ in favour of the local people.
Speaking to media persons today, the SEA president, Mani Kumar Pradhan, stated that all the 31 points raised by the ruling party were genuine and in favour of the local people. “So, the association is extending full support to the issues raised by the party for the betterment of the local people,” he said.

Mr Pradhan stated that the Association also strongly protest the injustice and sidelining of the local employees by private companies and further stressed that these companies have to give priority to local candidates in jobs and other opportunities.
“If this attitude of private companies continues then the SEA will also launch its own protest against them”, he said.
SEA was established in June 2006, and has150 enterprises registered with it as members.
Mr Pradhan informed that the SEA had also inspected some of the companies in and around Rangpo in 2009 and the association also found injustice and partiality imposed on local employees.
