Sikkim Red Cross Society condoles passing away NB Tiwari


GANGTOK: The Managing Committee of Indian Red Cross Society, Sikkim Branch, met on 07 April to condole the demise of NB Tiwari who passed away on 03 April, a press release informs. Mr. Tiwari was one of the founding members of the branch and an advisor to it.
Vice President, SK Dewan, General Secretary, BK Roka, and Joint Secretary, KN Sharma, spoke at the condolence meeting  remembering the immense contributions made by Mr Tiwari till the time of his sudden demise, informs the release.
The speakers highlighted the important role played by Mr Tiwari as a member of the branch in its rescue and rehabilitation work during natural disasters in the state in 1997. They also said that he would always be fondly remembered by all members of the branch and his physical absence would always be felt in all activities of the branch for years to come.
As a mark of respect for the departed colleague, the meeting observed a two-minute silence.
