ASESE&UA opens legal cell

GANGTOK, 5 June: The All Sikkim Educated Self Employed and Unemployed Association [ASESE&UA] to announced the formation of its Legal Cell.
ASESE&UA president, Nawin Kiran, informed that the legal cell will provide legal services and support to “deprived” people. 
Addressing a press conference, the cell head, Jigmee Wangchuk Bhutia, informed that while the legal cell will take up only cases of public interest for free, it would however provide legal counseling and suggestions to everyone who approached it.
He also said that issues such as Right to Information Act and Human Rights issues will be taken up by the legal cell.
The association has also reshuffled the posts of its members. While Mr. Kiran remains the president, the organization now has Ritesh Rai as general secretary cum treasurer, Phalman Subba and Deepak Libang as chief advisors, vice-president- Mayalmit Lepcha, publicity- Mohan Rai, PRO- Sabita Tamang, joint secretaries- Khagendra Dhakal, Pradeep Subba, Dipesh Subba, Suraj Rai and Manoj Rai, assistant treasurer- Prashant Sharma, Legal Cell members: Jigmee Wangchuk Bhutia, Rahul Rathi and Bijay Rai.
