First batch dispatched, SICB readies next set for trainees at Speciality Restaurant chain

GANGTOK, 21 June: A batch of 42 trainees from the State Institute of Capacity Building (SICB) on Hospitality Services reached Kolkata on 20 June to join the Speciality Restaurant Pvt., Ltd., (SRPL), informs a press release.
The SICB and SRPL had entered into an agreement to train 100 boys between the ages of 18 – 23 at the Institute with 100% placement at their centres.  All the trainees are school dropouts who have passed Class V and could not clear Class VII in their formal education. 
A fresh batch of 58 boys have been selected today for undergoing the 15 days training at SICB and 30 days Industrial Training in SRPL branches in Kolkata in core modules prepared by SICB and SRPL, the release informs.

The total package of their remuneration would be around Rs 7000/- out of which Rs. 400/- will be deducted for PF and the company will contribute Rs. 800 in the PF thereby a sum of Rs 1200/- would be monthly PF. 
The employees also get free food and accommodation as per the norms of the SRPL.  Besides this personal insurance and medi-claim will also be looked after by the company.
Similarly, the SICB has signed an agreement with SEW Infrastructures Ltd., Hyderabad, AP for skill development and placement facilitation of unemployed youth as per the industry norms in the construction sector, the release further informs. The company has also agreed to employ para-medical staff at their sites for which an interview will be conducted within this month. 
As per the discussion between the Sr. Vice President of the company and the Chief Administrator, SICB, a 45 days training would be conducted on Land Survey for 20 candidates and simultaneously the SEW Academy of construction will also train Assistant Work Supervisor, Work Supervisor, Assistant Store Keeper at SICB for 45 days and practical training of another 45 days will be conducted on site before employment, the release adds.
