Loan offer cheats villager of Rs. 68,100

GANGTOK, 01 June: An amount of Rs. 68,100 was fleeced from Mani Hang Subba of Luzik basti in West district by some frauds, it is alleged.
According to the complainant, two persons, Jeetendra Burma and Seema Burma of Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, through their company Bharat Associates had assured to provide a loan of Rs. 5 lakhs, following which Subba had applied for the same in the name of his wife. They were also asked to deposit Rs. 68,100 in their account first, but after Subba deposited the amount, he was not able to contact either of them as their phones were always switched off.
The case is under investigation.
