CMRHM allotment letters handed over to beneficiaries from Thingchim-Mangshila and Namok-Swayen GPUs

MANGAN, 24 Aug: A total of seventy beneficiaries from Thingchim-Mangshila, and 84 beneficiaries from Namok-Swayem GPUs were today handed over their allotment orders for pucca house conversion under the Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Mission (CMRHM). The area MLA, Power Minister Sonam Gyatso Lepcha was present as the chief guest accompanied by North Zilla Adhyaksha, Khamsoong Lepcha, as special guest.
The first session was held at Swayem for beneficiaries from Namok-Swayem GPU, and the second session at the Upper Mangshila Panchayat Ghar for beneficiaries from Thingchim-Mangshila GPU. The five wards of Namok-Sweyam GPU include Namok, Robi-Chongthong, Tikpu, Sweyam and Dethang while the seven wards of Thinghchim-Mangshila are Tibuk, Lower Zusing, Upper Zusing, Ralak, Tingzey, Lower Thingchim and Upper Thingchim.
While detailing the scheme, the Mangan BDO, ST Tamang, urged beneficiaries to utilise the funds well and oversee constructions properly.
The North Zilla Adhyaksha congratulated the beneficiaries and highlighted how this was part of the State Government’s flagship programmes initiated to make Sikkim a kutcha-house free State by 2015.
The Minister, in turn, directed the panchayats to guide beneficiaries closely and ensure that the scheme was implemented properly.
The function was also attended by panchayat members, DIO (N) Chopel Bhutia, Panchayats & zilla members and beneficiaries.
