Lee-Aal thanks well-wishers for support towards Old Age Home

GANGTOK, 03 Aug: Twenty-one ladies from Mamring in South Sikkim donated essentials items to the old age home, Lee Aal, at Turung Kasur, South Sikkim on 31 July. During their visit to the old-age home, the ladies also interacted with the senior citizens there and appealed to the public, NGOs, companies and associations to support this home.
Likewise, the SIECB of the Health Department has also extended help to this home by donating necessary goods, informs a press release. 

Lee Aal was established on 16 April 2011 and is being jointly run by various committees. The Home provides food, shelter and other basic needs to those senior citizens who are homeless and do not have anyone to depend upon.
The committees have expressed their gratitude towards all who have been supporting the Home thus gar. They assure that the assistance is utilized for a proper cause for which the committee is ready to welcome well wishers interact with the aged here and confirm the same, the release adds. 
The committees have also requested Bhajan Mandalis and Manipa groups to visit the Home at least once a month and involve the senior citizens here in bhajans and prayers.
