Gangtok Baptist Church contributes Rs. 50,000 to CM’s Relief Fund

GANGTOK, 28 Sept: The Gangtok Baptist Church, Development Area, has contributed Rs. 50,000 towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to assist the relief and rehabilitation efforts of the State Government.
The church has also conveyed its condolences to the affected families and prayed that the people come together to overcome the destruction caused by the 18 September earthquake, informs a press release issued by Pastor Joseph Tamang.
The church also organized prayer ceremonies on 23 and 24 Sept for the victims.
Also a team of the Church led by the Pastor also visited victims of the earthquake being treated at Central Referral Hospital and handed over blankets, juice, biscuits and flasks to patients there.
