ATMA training on wheat and mustard cultivation

GANGTOK, 24 Oct: The Agriculture Technology and Management Agency organised a training programme on “Area Expansion, Increasing Productivity and Maintenance and Marketing of Wheat Crop” at Rakdong-Tintek and Makha on 21 and 22 Oct. The training programme was attended by around 77 farmers, informs an official press release.
The farmers were imparted training in growing wheat in compact areas. It was informed that 12 hectares will be covered in Rakdong Tintek and 16 hectares at Makha under wheat cultivation and that the manure was ready to be disbursed from the respective VLW centres.
Similar training was also conducted on 20 Oct for Mustard cultivation at 32 No. Namli where 12 hectares is projected to be covered with this crop, the release adds.
