Music video on HIVAIDS awareness launched

GANGTOK, 27 Nov: Local singer, Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha launched his Nepali music video titled ‘Sukha Paat’ at CafĂ© Live and Loud on Friday. Ranipool Ward Councillor, Damber Dahal was present as the chief guest at the launch.

Written and composed by Tshering, ‘Sukha Paat’ hopes to educate the public on HIV AIDS. The video, sponsored by the Sikkim State AIDS Control Society [SSACS], appeals to the masses not to discriminate against victims of the disease but to treat them with care and sympathy.
The video has been directed and conceptualized by Priyadarshini Namchu, shot by Phuntsog Dorjee and edited by Mandira Chettri. Starring in the video are Anant Pradhan and 6-year-old Kursongmith Lepcha.
This is Tshering’s second music video from his debut Nepali album, ‘Manaima’. The first video was shot on the title track ‘Manaima’.  Tshering plans to come out with more music videos touching issues like drug abuse, social and environmental awareness, etc.
