Sai Samithi holds spiritual programme at Namchi District Prison

NAMCHI, 24 Nov: On the occasion of the 86th birth anniversary of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sri Sathya Sai Samithi Namchi conducted National Narayan Seva at the Namchi District Prison.
The programme started with the welcome address by SP Jail, KL Tenzin who in his address thanked the Samithi for organizing such a programme on the occasion of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birth anniversary. He expressed his gratefulness for the aid provided to the prison’s inmates in the form of Narayan Seva and shared words of advice and suggestion wit the inmates.
The spiritual talk which was the main part of the programme was given by KR Pradhan, who in his talk informed on the importance of this day and the spiritual message it carries. He mentioned that a similar programme also took place in Turuk, and added that the aim of organizing this celebration in the District Prison is to impart and share the divine message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Explaining the basic message of ‘Love all Serve all’ preached by the Baba, he advised the inmates to try and follow this path for a better future and urged them not to let oneself repeat the same mistake due to which they have landed in prison.
The concluding talk was given by Narad Sharma who shared the blessings with all the inmates and everyone present. Apart from this as Narayan Seva, the Samithi provided them with warm clothes for the coming winter which is one of the major necessities of the inmates along with lunch which was prepared by them.
The inmates also participated wherein some of them came forth with their talents of story telling and singing which was part of the programme. A quiz competition was also held wherein on-the-spot prize distribution was done.
The 86th birth anniversary celebration ended with ‘mangal arati’ and ‘Bhibhuti Prasadam’.
