SDF coordination meet at Temi

NAMCHI, 11 Nov: The coordination meeting of the Sikkim Democratic Front [SDF] Temi Namphing Constituency was held today under the chairmanship of GM Gurung, the vice president of the SDF party and the Incharge South District at Temi Bazaar.
 Area MLA BS Panth was present as the guest of honour and it was also attended by RN Rai [general secretary, District Working Committee], Bal Bir Gurung [administrative secretary, South District], Tirtha Subba Publicity Sercretary South District and other party leaders.
During the meeting the existing Constituency Level Committee, Block Level Committee and Ward Level Committee of SDF party for Temi Namphing constituency was dissolved today for reformation which according to the party leaders will be done within this month.
While addressing the meeting, Party Vice President cum In-Charge South District of SDF party GM Gurung said that the reformation of committees was not to throw anyone out of the committee but to reform the committee which was not done since many years. He further said that with the span of time number of SDF committee members became MLAs, some shifted their place some got government job, hence the reformation was necessary to rebuild the committee, he added.
Similarly, area MLA BS Panth in his address said that the coordination meeting was being held to reform the CLC, BLC and WLC of the SDF party and everyone as a party worker; he also stated that dedicated party workers will be given preference in the new committees.
He also shared the credit of development in Temi Namphing constituency with former MLA GM Gurung, who he stated had started various schemes during his tenure and that he was just implementing the same.
General Secretary, Temi Namphing CLC, Das Tamang in his introductory speech stated that the meeting was held for reformation of CLC, BLC and WLC and to give 50 per cent to women as per the vision of the party president and Chief Minister Pawan Chamling and to inform the people about the various developmental works carried out by the SDF government.
The meeting was also addressed by Bhim Singh Tiwari, Tirtha Subba, Bal Bir Tamang and RN Rai.
