SDF dismisses former MP’s statements as ‘unacceptable’

GANGTOK, 22 Nov: The ruling SDF party has condemned the statements of former SDF MP, Nakul Das Rai, who had alleged that people of the state are not happy with the present government, informs a press release issued by the SDF publicity secretary, Amber Rai. The release contends that Mr. Rai does not have any right to make such “unacceptable statements” to the public which has strong faith in democracy and counters that such statements only reflect his attitude of looking down and underestimating the public.
To state that the public is not happy with the present government is wrong as it is the public who have remained positive about the principles and programmes of the SDF party for the last 18 years, contends the release.
The release also alleges that when Mr. Rai could not fulfill his own personal interests from the party his desperation dragged him to speak against the party and maintains that the government has always given priority to its people.
