22 of 47 trainees at Barfung Livelihood School earn placements ahead of course completion


GANGTOK, 02 Dec: A total of 47 participants are undergoing training on trade at the Barfung Livelihood School for Hospitality Management running under the aegis of State Institute of Capacity Building (SICB).
The training will conclude in December, and already 9 of them have been placed at Shiv Vilash Resort, and 13 at Hotel Gold Palace, Jaipur where they will be undergoing Industrial Training for a period of six months, informs a press release issued by SICB, Deputy Director, Dr IBS Yadav.

The selected trainees left for their training on 01 Dec while the remaining trainees are also to be placed in Goa very soon, the release informs.
The trainees were trained in the art of hospitality with specialization in providing Housekeeping Services, Food and Beverage Services and Front Office Operations.  They have been also trained in Soft Skill Communication, Personality Development and working knowledge of Computer.
This has enhanced the figure of SICB achievements on successful completion of training programme and placements as per the mandate, the release adds.
