NHPC contributes Rs 7 crore towards CM’s Relief Fund


GANGTOK, 04 Dec: Chairman and Managing Director, NHPC Limited, ABL Srivastava, called on Chief Minister Pawan Chamling on 02 Dec and presented a cheque of Rs. 7 crore as a contribution towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, informs a press release.

The NHPC CMD also reiterated NHPC’s commitment towards shouldering its responsibilities towards the State and its people. He detailed activities undertaken by NHPC to mitigate the hardship faced by Sikkimese people in the aftermath of the earthquake and also explained the organisation’s CSR-CD activities undertaken in the State, the release adds.
Mr Srivastava also extended his gratitude to the State government for providing a peaceful and healthy working environment for NHPC.
The CM has appreciated the efforts of NHPC and also assured all cooperation in conducting the public hearing of the proposed 520 MW Teesta (Stage-IV) HE Project as soon as possible, the release mentions.
