Letter: ASDASG


ASDASG [All Sikkim Departmental Adhoc Staff Gorup] firstly wants to clarify that this group is totally a non-political body as we have already mentioned in previous edition too, and we firmly lay stress on the fact. It is very sad for all of us to come to know that raising voice for our job security has been taken otherwise. We HRD/SSA teaching and non-teaching staff wants to know that fact why the HRD Ministry guidelines on recruitment of manpower for HRD/SSA staff have been implemented only in the year 2012 and not the previous year. As HRD/SSA have been giving extensions and even regularized to previous staffs despite of the fact that they has been recruited under the some guidelines as we have been recruited. We are seeking for the same privilege and norms they have been granted earlier. The HRD Department has said there was no mention of extension in our appointment order then why the previous SSA/HRDD staffs have been given extension and were working for the next academic session. The HRD Department has dismissed our claims for extension as baseless but we strongly oppose this allegation. It has been well mentioned in the NOW edition dated 26/1/2012 that equal opportunity has to be provided so we are at the verge of quarrying where the so called “Equal Opportunity” has been implemented to us. It is for the reminisce that NCTE norms have been implemented on April 2009. Then how come that the Department has recruited without following the provisions of the same in 2011 and at this juncture they are bounding us by the norms which are very unfortunate for all of us who have not received quality education.
All members of ASDASG would like to request the concerned department as well as the government to look into our grievances and grand us social justice.
