Vigilance & Monitoring Committee meeting held in South District


NAMCHI, 02 Feb: The District Vigilance and Monitoring Committee convened a meeting under the chairmanship of Lok Sabha MP, PD Rai in the Conference Hall of District Administrative Centre, here in the headquarters of South District.
During the meet Mr PD Rai informed that the meeting was about keeping an eye on all the ongoing developmental programmes and flagship programmes of the centre like MGNREGA, PMGSY, IYA, etc, and the State Government in the South District.
The meeting which was attended by Panchayats of various GPUs of South District, put forward their problems and grievances regarding the developmental works going on in their respective GPUs and Blocks.
Concerned officers and BDOs who were also present during the meet presented the status of the developmental works going on in their respective blocks and in the district and also answered the queries put forward by the panchayats and the members during the meet.
The concerned officers and BDOs also gave an account of the work going on in the district under MGNERGA, PMGSY, IYA, old age pensions etc.
The MP appealed to all the concerned officers to be vigilant and monitor the work going on in their areas and ensure that the developmental works were in progress in full flow.
The meeting was also attended by MLA, Sonam Gyatso Bhutia, Deputy Chairperson Namchi Municipal Council, DC, AK Singh.
