CM offers Saawan prayers in South Sikkim


NAMCHI, 17 July [IPR]: Saawan is supposed to be an auspicious and holy month especially for offering prayers to Lord Shiva. Chief Minister Pawan Chamling along with his wife Tika Maya Chamling visited the Shiva Mandir at Khola Ghari and offered their prayers there today.
During the visit to the temple, they prayed for the well being of the people of Sikkim and for peace and serenity in the state. They also took part in the Yagya performed at the temple.
The CM also met with the various priests at the temple and requested them to pray for the well being of the people as well as for the state of Sikkim. Later in the afternoon, the CM along with his wife also visited Siddeshvara Dham in Solophok and offered prayers.
