58 CMRHM homes to be inaugurated in South Sikkim next week

NAMCHI, 29 Oct [IPR]: Chief Minister’s Rural Housing Mission [CMRHM], one of the flagship programmes of the State Government, strives to make Sikkim a ‘Kutcha House free state’ by providing quality housing to the poorest of the poor. On the basis of baseline survey conducted by RMDD in 2010, an allocation of 1,625 houses has been made to the South District under CMRHM.
The beneficiary identification and the allotment process has already been completed for 1,175 houses in South district, of which 569 houses have been completed and handed over to the beneficiaries so far, while 606 houses are in various stages of construction.
On 30 October 2013, a total of 58 more houses, under various blocks of South district are being inaugurated and handed over to the beneficiaries. Among which, BAC Jorethang will be inaugurating 29 houses, BAC Namthang – 17 houses, BAC Sumbuk -9 houses, BAC Namchi – 1 house, BAC Temi – 1 house and BAC Sikkip -1 house.
