SKM welcomes 1,155 new members

GANGTOK, 22 Dec: A total of 1,155 new members are said to have been inducted into the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha during the Rolu picnic anniversary celebrations on Saturday.
In a press release, SKM’s Jacob Khaling informs that 17 CEC members and 800 primary members resigned from SDF and joined SKM at Rolu on Saturday as did some former civil servants. Some of the bureaucrats who joined SKM are former Special Secretary, Sonam Topgay Lepcha, former Deputy Director, Adup Bhutia and former Deputy Secretary, Dichen Phigu Bhutia, the release details.
Mr. Khaling adds that 29 new members from Bojoghari, 10 new members from Lunchok-Solangdang, 16 new members from Ganchung- Dugalakha, 126 from Rhenock, 28 from Timbutar, Saramsa, 22 from Assam Lingzey, 32 from Melli, 40 from Poklok-Kamrang, 15 from Mikhola joined SKM.
The new comers were welcomed into the party by SKM leader PS Tamang [Golay].
