SMIT scholar receives PhD for study on female agricultural labour in Sikkim

GANGTOK, 21 Jan: Nidhi Dwivedy, a research scholar in the Department of Management Studies, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology [SMIT], successfully defended her PhD thesis on 17 January on the topic “Study of Female Labour in Farming Sector in Sikkim”. Ms. Dwivedy completed her PhD under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Niranjan Upadhayay, Professor, Dept. of Management Studies, SMIT, an official press release informs.
She has been recommended for award of degree by the Board of Examiners of Sikkim Manipal University. She has to her credit 16 publications in international journals and three books published in German Publication, the release informs.

The Doctor of Philosophy will be awarded to her at the next convocation of the University.
