Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche bestows Tsewang at Ngadak Monastery

NAMCHI, 25 Jan: The ‘Tsewang’ (Empowerment for long life) by Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche along with display of Ngadak Gompa’s Nang Ter [antique spiritual items] to the general public was conducted today in the recently inaugurated Ngadak Monastery here.
The ceremony was attended by Gongzang Rinpoche from Phatak, East Sikkim and Lachung Rinpoche from North Sikkim, along with eight Tulkus from Dehradun, Shimla, Mysore and Sikkim who also received the ‘tsewang’ from Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche. Around 200 monks from across the state and around 20 monks from Bhutan also attended the spiritual ceremony today which started from 1 p.m.
Among others Tika Maya Chamling along with Sangha MLA, Phituk Tshering Lama also took the blessings of the gathered Rinpoches at Ngadak Monastery today. During the ceremony, 22 ‘Nang Ter’ were displayed for public along with distribution of ‘tsewang’ for the entire day. It was informed by the Duchi Committee of the monastery that from today onwards, these antiques which include statues, will be displayed for public and devotees every year, and every year the ceremony will be held during the same time of the year. Devotees from various corners of Sikkim thronged to the newly inaugurated Ngadak Monastery today.
