81.4% turnout and peaceful polling at Namthang-Rateypani



NAMCHI, 12 Apr [IPR]: As informed by the Returning Officer-South Prabhakar Verma, the voters of Namthang Rateypani, considered to be sensitive constituency this election, cast their vote in a peaceful and uninterrupted environment.
From the report of the South District Election office, the votes cast by the voters in this constituency as recorded from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. adds up to a total of 10,733 out of 13,178 with 81.4% voting percentage. It may be recalled that this constituency along with two Tumin Lingi has the highest number of Polling Stations with 22 numbers and the Poll in all the stations here ended at 5 pm this evening.
