Governor accepts CM’s resignation, stage set for Chamling to take charge for fifth term

GANGTOK, 19 May: With the conclusion of the election to the 9th Sikkim Legislative Assembly and declaration of its results, Pawan Chamling, Chief Minister of Sikkim along with the Council of Ministers submitted his resignation to the Governor of Sikkim, Shriniwas Patil, vide D.O. No. 10/CMO/2014 dated 18th May, 2014, as per normal procedure.
The Governor accepted the resignation and has requested the Chief Minister and his colleagues to continue in office till the new Council of Ministers is sworn-in, informs the Raj Bhawan in a press communique.
