SAATHI enlists 10 students of Mangan Sr Sec School

GANGTOK, 04 May: Team SAATHI (Sikkim Against Addiction Towards Healthy India) led by Upesh Chettri visited Mangan Senior Secondary School on 01 May. Mangan SSS is one of the 10 schools under the ambit of SAATHI, a programme under the Chief Minister’s Youth Empowerment and Self Reliant Mission 2013.
A press release informs that the motive behind visiting the school was to inform the students about the mission and vision of SAATHI and its activities in the last one year. A power point presentation was prepared on SAATHI and on sensitive issues like alcoholism and cigarette smoking. The students of classes 8, 9 and 10 were present.
The release states that the programme received positive response from the students.
