SDF playing “unethical” politics, alleges Golay

GANGTOK, 25 May: Sikkim Krantikari Morcha president, PS Tamang [Golay] has welcomed the protest by Lall Bazaar traders and condemned the SDF government of playing a politics of victimisation.
In a press release issued this evening, Mr. Tamang has alleged that after suffering a huge defeat in the East district, the SDF government is getting back at the people of the district. Threatening businessmen, repealing the second Saturday holiday and attempting to bring changes in the medical reimbursement of government employees was an injustice to people of the state, he has said.
Mr. Tamang has accused the SDF government of playing “unethical” politics with regard to the notification on the cancellation of the second Saturday holiday a day after the government was formed. He has also alleged that the SDF government plans to revoke many powers given to the Municipal bodies of the state which is aimed at suppressing the business community.
Stating that members of the business community were also voters of the state, Mr Tamang has said that if they are not given their due respect as voters, the Sikkimese will raise their voice against the SDF government in future.
