Students seize the day to flaunt skills and talent

GANGTOK, 01 June: Fifteen secondary and senior secondary schools from in and around Gangtok participated in ‘Carpe Diem 2014’, an inter-school scholastic and cultural competition, today here at Sir Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School auditorium. The day-long event was organized by 24hours Inspired.
Carpe Diem 2014 had five events in the competition category; extempore competition, hip hop dance, fashion show, cultural dance and battle of the bands.
24hours Inspired Chief Learning Officer, Dewakar Basnet informs that that the main objective of the event was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills. He further added that such events would also further build good relations between students of different schools.
He informed that 150 students participated in the events while the programme was witnessed by more than 700 students.
