Cleanliness drive at Pentong in Upper Dzongu


MANGAN, 19 July:  The Tholung Kessung Eco-Tourism Development Society organized a daylong cleanliness drive at Pentong village in Upper Dzongu, North Sikkim under the aegis of president, Nima Lepcha along with other members of the society and the public of Pentong Village on 19 July.
During the cleanliness drive, dustbins were also placed at different locations and the villagers were urged to make use of these dustbins.
On the occasion, Mr. Lepcha urged all the villagers to make the village litter-free and advised them to make proper use of dustbins to ensure responsible disposal of garbage.
It may be mentioned here that Pentong is the last village in Upper Dzongu as there is no human habitation beyond this village.
