GANGTOK,
30 July: A driver was killed and eight others injured
when a utility vehicle bearing registration no: SK-04D-0072 met with an
accident at Chirbirey, along Jorethang-Melli road, South Sikkim at around 3.30
pm on 29 July. The deceased driver was identified as Ravi Shah [19], resident of
Jorethang Bazaar, South Sikkim. All injured were evacuated to Jorethang PHC for
medical attention. The dead body of the deceased was forwarded to Namchi
District Hospital for autopsy.
