SBS welcomes new Chairperson

GANGTOK, 28 July: Former Minister KB Chamling, who has now been appointed Chairperson of State Bank of Sikkim, was accorded a warm welcome by the bank officials and members of Bank’s Employees’ Association of the State Bank of Sikkim today.
While welcoming the chairman, Rapden Bhutia, General Secretary of State Bank of Sikkim Employees’ Association thanked and expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister for appointing Mr. KB Chamling as the Chairman of the Bank. He also expressed that the new Chairperson, with his vast experience as Minister and Chief Whip of the State government, will be able to lead SBS to greater heights, a press release informs.
The new Chairperson, in turn, reiterated the need to protect the unique identity of the State Bank of Sikkim [which was established under a Royal Proclamation in 1968].
