I-Day at AG Office

GANGTOK, 18 Aug: The 68th Independence Day was celebrated in the Office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit), Sikkim on 15 August. The Tricolor was unfurled by the Sr. Dy. Accountant General (A&E), JR Biswas on the roof top of the Office Building in the presence of the staff and officers.
A press release informs that the new Accountant General (Audit) is out of station on an official tour and therefore could not attend the function. Sr. Dy. Accountant General on the occasion said that we are privileged to be a free nation and despite our presence all over the world in every walk of life, our country is still being treated as a developing one and all of us should endeavor to turn the country into a really developed one.
The day was also celebrated by the Bichitra Officers Club, Accountant General’s Residential Complex, Syari. The National flag was unfurled by children of the Club members in the Club premises.
The president of the Club extended his greetings to all present on the occasion. The celebration ended with the distribution of sweets amongst the gathering.
