Two-month training on tailoring begins in West Sikkim

GANGTOK, 25 Aug: Gyalshing-Bermiok MLA and RMDD Minister, SB Subedi inaugurated two-month Capacity Building/ Skill Up-gradation Training on Cutting and Tailoring on 22 August.
As per a press release, the training will be held for 30 beneficiaries at Pachreck, Bermiok and Yangsum under the Gyalshing-Bermiok constituency in West Sikkim. The training is being organised by the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Government of Sikkim under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) component of the Future Gaming and Hotel Services Pvt. Ltd. Kazi Road.
Addressing the gathering and beneficiaries, the chief guest stressed on the government's vision to equip every person in the state with skills so that they can earn a livelihood and become self reliant. He urged the beneficiaries to be disciplined, punctual and dedicated during the training.
The Minister also distributed one sewing machines to each beneficiary, the release mentions.
The programme was also addressed by KB Bhandari [Chairman, SIDICO] and Phurba Sherpa [Chairman, Juvenile Board].
