Bishal Mukhia’s Paari Himal video eyes Maghey Mela release

NAMCHI, 13 Jan: Singer Bishal Mukhia of Jorethang is all set to release the music video of his song 'Paari Himal' at the Jorethang Maghey Mela. The Maghey Mela date is also significant because in the past, Mr Mukhia has [in 2006] also released a song titled “Jorethang ko Mela ma”. 
With lyrics by Bhasker Pradhan from Darjeeling, the song has been composed by Adrian Williams Lama of Namchi with music by Gopal Rasaily of Kathmandu. The music video has been directed by Mandira Chettri of Maark Productions, a director who has established her credentials for slick productions.
The video has been shot in and around West Sikkim mainly at the Mandarin Resort, Ghonday Resort and Kanchan Valley of Kaluk Rinchenpong with local artists.
The main aim of this video is to break into the international market and targets Nepali music lovers all over the world. It will be soon aired on all local channels of Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Nepal and on social media like Facebook and YouTube.
Singer and composer, Bishal Mukhia works with the Government of Sikkim as the District Planning Officer, North District Zilla Panchayat at Mangan.
He started singing at the age of twelve singing Sai Bhajans and his first composition was a school prayer for the Namchi Senior Secondary School titled "Prabhu timro darshan paun". Thereafter, his first commercial music video, "Lukeyra malai nahera" for Channel Nepal One was released in 2003.
He worked with Channel Nepal One for a Sai Darshan video bhajan and with Unicorn Sai Music, Mumbai for Sai Bhajan albums which are currently being sold in India and abroad.
Music videos released so far by Vishal are "Mero Sikkim" in 2005, "Jorethang ko mela ma" in 2006 and "MGNREGA" in 2008. He has altogether more than 50 songs to his credit both in Hindi and Nepali.
At present, he is working on a tourism promotion song for Kaluk Rinchenpong and for the Sikkim Organic Mission. His recent launch was the mobile ringtone "Hamro north ramro north". He has also sung the song "Manchey ko saino", written by the Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling and composed by Suresh Rai.
